Clive On Call

Clive On Call is a neighborhood shuttle service that provides curb-to-curb transportation within the Clive On Call service area.  The shuttle can take you from the curb outside your home or workplace to the nearest transit stop or other destinations within the On Call service area.

DART's On Call service is one of the easiest forms of transportation available - as easy as calling a friend for a ride - maybe easier.

Service Hours

DART On Call service is available Monday thru Friday - no weekends or holidays.
Morning pick-ups begin at 5:45 am and run until 8:45 am primarily to the Park & Rides at Dahl’s 86th St. and Hickman Road.
Afternoon pick-ups begin at 3:45 pm and run until 6:30 pm, primarily from the Park & Rides at Dahl’s 86th St. and Hickman Road.

A Ride for Everyone

All DART On Call vehicles are wheelchair accessible. Adults must accompany children under 6.

Trip Requests

Phone DART On Call at 283-8100. Please give the DART representative your:

  • Name
  • Phone Number
  • Date of Travel
  • Departure location
  • Destination
  • Time you wish to arrive

If you leave a message requesting an On Call trip, a DART On Call representative will call and confirm your trip.
Same-day trips can be made, on a space-available basis, by calling at least 30 minutes in advance.  Trips may be scheduled up to 7 days in advance.
Service is based on availability and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. The driver will schedule a pick-up time. However, the actual vehicle arrival time may vary by 15 minutes. Be ready! Upon arrival, the driver will wait 5 minutes for the passenger to board the vehicle.

Cancellations/No Shows

To cancel or change your trip reservation, please call 283-8100 at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled pick-up time, or a "no-show" will be recorded.  More than 4 no-shows in a calendar month may result in a suspension of your On Call service.

Flexibility

On Call representatives will make every effort to accommodate your trip needs.  During periods of high demand, your trip request may be more easily accommodated if you are willing to travel at a slightly different time or by a less-direct route to your destination.

Guaranteed Ride Home

If you are a monthly pass holder, ride an Express or Urbandale On Call and have a personal emergency while at work, DART will provide alternative transportation home or to your vehicle between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., Monday - Friday.  A DART vehicle will arrive within 30 minutes to pick you up.  Call 283-8100 for more information.
